Kayla

The initial concept did not happen for some reason, but the shoot continued - results even better.

Boudoir shoot on a very cold Sunday with Kayla.

Get Your Headshots Now

Three of my friends got their headshots taken after they saw the one I did for myself (below).

For the shot above, I placed a soft box in front and above me (45 degrees) and held a white fill card below. Fired another flash at the white wall behind me to brighten up the background, which was later edited in post.

Now, take a look at the ones I did for my friends. Used speedlight + shoot through umbrella placed 45 degrees above the subject.

This service is FREE until further notice. Contact me to schedule a headshot session.

New Model Is In The House, Y'all!

Big brother came back in the country from a business trip in China. This stuff is one of the best things he brought home for me and my wife. Thanks a lot!

So glad, aside from being a home decoration, I can use it as one of my photography subjects when I just feel like shooting still life or "model-like" indoors. I used to check out Danbo online for character shots, but I'll skip that in the mean time and make really good time out of this. From the Ikea shelf to my studio setup.

What name should I call him or her or it?

Do an S-shape please? Now hold it! Great!

It's really great, because it can be positioned in any "human-like" form.

Shot from a stepladder. Not really.

That's more than an 18% grey card. Wow!

So, you want to book my freelance still life model, huh?

Fifty Shades - I Don't Read, I Just Shoot

I was shooting still life (below) and trying the DIY color gels I got for cheap, really cheap!
After I got the shot, I saw those books (above) stacked in the shelf. Those aren't mine and I haven't read them, didn't even open them even a page. I know they are interesting books, for the stories, but I'm much interested in photography and just had them as subjects.

Studio Anywhere

You can pull off a shot anywhere. It doesn't need to be in a studio.

Had this drink for take out and brought it in our hotel room. At midway, I thought of a simple strobist setup. Photo taken a couple months ago, I just made the caption now before posting.
